Mike Lerario always knew he would live the life of a soldier, and began that adventure at 18 years old. Spanning three decades, his journey included combat command experience in the First Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan. His master’s degree in leadership development (USMA MA94) and subsequent assignments with soldiers honed his interest in developing emerging leaders.
Since retirement he has provided advisory and consulting services to government, civilian and military organizations. Working with corps and special operations task force commanders in combat zones, professional sports teams coaches and manufacturing plant managers has allowed him to observe diverse leadership backgrounds and styles. Mike developed the Fulcrum-centric Leadership model and the Leadership Fulcrum Assessment to enable high potential and emerging leaders to lead more effectively in complex and demanding environments.
He is the president of Crispian Consulting, and a retired infantry paratrooper and now, Best Selling Author. An avid fitness buff and lifelong learner, Mike has harnessed the thoughts running through his mind to create a model for successful leadership. When he is not writing, working, or working out, you can find him on the golf course, brewing beer or traveling with Martha. Married for 32 years, and having raised two global sons, he is now reveling in the joy that comes with grandchildren.
